TUITION POLICIES

Attendance Policies

 

Cancellations:

● 24-hour advanced notice required. No-shows will not be refunded or made up.
● If a teacher cancels, a makeup lesson will be issued.
● The flat monthly fee covers less than the actual number of lesson weeks
(including the holiday closures already taken out) within the 9-month time period.
Therefore, each student may give notice of absence for 2 lessons. Any planned
absences beyond 2 may be made up at the teacher’s discretion and availability,
but are not guaranteed.
● Excessive missed lessons may result in being removed from the studio schedule.
● When withdrawing from lessons, the month already paid must be finished out. No
refunds will be given for unused lessons if withdraw mid-month.

 

Equipment:

● Each student is required to have the instrument they are learning (ex. Piano,
violin, etc) at home, to practice on.
● Some books may be borrowed, given by the studio, or asked to be purchased. All
current books, notebooks, and sheet music should be brought to each lesson.
● Teachers begin and end lessons promptly. Lateness may result in a shortened
lesson.
● The studio has a lobby, toys, books, and a restroom. Please treat all studio
equipment and instruments with respect.

 

Performances:

● Grade-school students are required to participate in two yearly recitals.

         ○ Fall/Christmas: every other year we swap a fall (November) and Christmas (December) mid year recital.
         ○ June: Year-End recital for all students.
● Extra performances:
         ○ Studio Classes- held twice a year in fall and spring- count as that week’s lesson.
         ○ Summer- outdoor casual performance

 

Adult Students

● May waive the monthly fee and pay per lesson depending on job/schedule needs.
● Optional Studio Class Group that meets every 2-3 months to perform, discuss, and share in our musical journeys.
● Tailored lessons to fit individuals’ goals, previous studies, and level.
